ITINERARY, DAY BY DAY
- DAY 1
- From Arusha to Tarangire
We’ll pick you up at your hotel in Arusha around 7:00am and we will drive to Tarangire National Park.
This 3000sq kms park is known for its baobab trees and its 2000 elephants. This Tarangire river runs through this park and makes it spectacular during the dry season. The wildlife concentrates near this permanent river because it is their only source of water.
- DAY 2
- From Tarangire to Serengeti
The Serengeti National Park covers 14,763 sq kms and is the world’s last great wildlife refuge as it contains approximately three million animals. According to the season they might be less due to the migration. Serengeti name originates from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, which means « endless plains ».
- DAY 3
- From Serengeti to Ngorongoro
During the dry season, the lions, also called the « resident prides », begin their migration to the center of the park.
The Central Serengeti is also one of the best areas to admire the leopard, that you may encounter in the sausage trees, not far from the Seronera River.
- DAY 4
- From Ngorongoro to Arusha
The Ngorongoro crater is the largest intact crater of the world. The old volcanic eruption created a natural enclosure of 19kms wide. This Crater is now populated by Acacia trees and contains around 30,000 animals. We hope to see the black rhinoceros and we are assured to see flamingoes, elephants, lions and different bids.
We might also see the Maasai population grazing their own buffalos and other wildbeasts.
